The Grays Harbor 2020 Task Force invites you to attend a Community Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, March 5. The event will be held at Aberdeen High School, 410 North G Street, from 5:30-8:30 PM.
The Town Hall meeting will provide an opportunity for community members to review various strategies proposed to move Grays Harbor toward a more sustainable future, and to tell us which initiatives you believe are most important to start right away.
Over the past year, we have received thousands of ideas for making Grays Harbor an even better place to live, work and play. Over 1,000 people have participated in the visioning process, and more than 100 participated on working teams to help craft citizen ideas into implementable actions. The resulting action plan is organized into five primary themes.
· Making Strategic Social Investments
· Preserving Our Unparalleled Environmental Assets
· Fostering a Diverse and Progressive Economy
· Pursuing State-of-the-Art Infrastructure and Governance
· Enhancing and Promoting Our Signature Spaces and Places
We hope you are able to join us March 5. The open house begins at 5:30 and will be followed by a formal presentation and community conversation. Participants will then be invited to vote for their favorite ideas before we adjourn. Refreshments will be provided and all attendees will have a chance to win one of several door prizes during a free raffle.
