After the election of our new President (Barack Obama) in November, a member of the community came to the Food Bank with a donation.
I asked what prompted him to bring such a good selection of items. He said “I read somewhere that a challenge had been posted to contribute 44 items of food to your area food bank. It is in honor of the election of our new 44th President.”
His donation was quality food items and the slip was still in the bag. He had spent over $65.00.
I have never seen him before or after.
