The City of Hoquiam will again host a Hershey’s Track and Field district event for children ages 9 through 14. Events will include a 50, 100, 200, 400 and 800 meter dash, a 1600 meter dash for 13-14 year olds, the 4 x 100 relay, the standing long jump and a softball throw. Participants can select to participate in up to three events – but must chose two track and one field event or both field events and one track event.
The event will take place on May 19th at the Sea Breeze Oval at Hoquiam High School. As in the past all registration forms must be signed by a parent or guardian and copies of birth certificates are required. Registration will begin at 5:30 pm with the events beginning at 6:15 pm.
